Reupholstery of dining room chairs is an extremely popular service that we provide. These chairs are relatively quick to do but wonderfully effective when done correctly. We can recover seats and back panels for drop-in and stuffed over seats. We examine the chairs, calculate the work and fabric required and discuss options such as piping and edging and a price agreed with each customer. Seats and back panels are removed, stripped back to the base and examined. Foam is shaped and stuffings are replaced if necessary. We have the facility to create replacement wooden seat bases. 

Often stuffings can be reused and covered with a fire-retardant liner rather than replacement which can be a more cost effective option. After the lining fabric is attached, we add wadding or needled felt to provide a plump and comfortable base or back. Then, the final fabric is carefully placed so that patterns are centred and aligned with the backs, piping, if desired, will be hand crafted and affixed. To finish off, a layer of natural calico or hessian is added to the under side of the seat base. Although this is largely unseen, it finishes the chair in a secure and professional manner.
